your favorite old game

So what are your favorite old game?

I love neverhood like quest and super bubsy like arcade

 

I really love Fallout II, Rayman(all parts) and Mortal Kombat 3.

 

how I could forget about Rayman...I REALY LOVE HIM xDDDD

 

OMG, what you tell? Golden Axe is the best game of all times.

 

Quake&Doom is the best of the best of the best and is my favorite games

 

Why we all are writing in English?
May be, we start write in our usual language - German?

Me, I don't even know how you'd say "Old games" or "abandonware" in German, so I'm not quite enthusiastic about the suggestion.


On-topic-wise, I'd like to reiterate that I still consider Wasteland to be the best RPG game of all time and space this side of the creation of the EGA graphics mode; Dark Forces as the best licenced game evar (tm); Rise of the Triad as the best Bloody Mush-fest; Blackthorne as the best Blizzard game of all time and consoles; Quest for Glory 4 as the best quest-adventure-rpg-action meld ever created; King's Bounty as the last, best and only Heroes-driven game worth playing; and, lastly, Duke Nukem II as the last Duke Nukem game worth the time spent playing it.

That, of course, doesn't include a lot of other games, but that is a story for another time...

 

My favourite, as most impressive, are Sid Meier's Civilization, Dune 2, Command and Conquer - Red Alert, X-COM: UFO Defence, Master of Orion, Star Control 2: Ur-Quan Masters, Quest for Glory 4: Shadows of Darkness. But the Gratest One is Fallout!

My favorite old game is King's Quest VI, as well as many other point and click adventure games.

 

My favorite, huh? If we speak about shooters it's Doom, cuz' it was my 1st.
The best strategies are StarWar-crafts cuz I haven't seen anything that good since 90's. The best quest? Neverhood, damn the russian version from Dyadushka Risech was funny, the beginnin of 90s was the only time when guys did really good russian versions... IMHO...

 

Well, the rub is: what am I to consider an 'old' game?) If we take a really antique period , it must be something like Metal Mutant or first parts of Wizardry series. Then, I still remember sleepless nights with crazy little games like Supaplex)))

I mean, speaking about 'old' games I could mention Disciples, for instance, and who would tell this to be wrong?) This notion is just highly imprecise)

By the way, due to the fact, that my notebook was always far from being "high-end", practically ALL my favourite games could be categorized as 'old' ones.
